Welcome to SigFood - the Hitchhiker's Guide to Eating and Drinking in Indian cities. SigFood stands for Special Interest Group in Food. This is a community driven website about food and drink in Mumbai, with growing coverage of Bangalore, Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, Chennai. Look around for places to eat and drink and general food-related things.

For readers:

• Food and drink joints in Mumbai (and other cities) are categorized by various types. Click these tags for more similar joints.
• Look around for places to eat and drink. The Advanced Search and All Reviews links (on the left) are probably best when looking for something specific. Use advanced search, and select the city and specific localities seaching for with other criteria.
• Pages, Events, and Trails are tags for articles, events, and food related trips.
• Sign up, and subscribe to the notify feature to get updates by email. Leave your comments and please write in if you would like to contribute articles and reviews. Please post bugs/suggestions/criticism here, or mail them to admin /\T sigfood . org

For content creators:

• When adding an eating/drinking joint, select the locality it is in. For chains select multiple localities and cities if needed. For example, for Cafe Churchill, select Colaba. Selecting Mumbai additionally is optional - it will be selected automatically from within.
• Leave the Path Alias blank. It will be automatically generated. For Cafe Churchill, we will get the URL alias 'Mumbai/Colaba/Cafe_Churchill'.
• In case you need to tweak the taxonomies in admin/categories: When adding new Types/Cuisine/Keywords - please tweak weights as +4/+6/+8 respectively. Please add new cities with a weight of -5, sub-localities get the default 0
