Koramangala
Asia in a box
Submitted by anandkr on Tue, 29/09/2009 - 15:56. Bangalore | Frazer Town | Koramangala | Restaurant | Thai | AffordableThis is a online / telephone take away / home delivery only place. They are based out of Koramangala / HSR Layout / Frazer town and generally deliver across the city.
We decided to order about few days back for Dinner and we live within 5kms of this joint.
What did we order
Starters
Sesame Corn toast (i threw it away) and Vietnamese spring roll
Maincourse
Phad Thai (i make better ones) and some fried noodles (we had to throw away).
Largely the experience was bad because 1) It took them 90minutes to deliver 2) The food was cold and spring roll by then had turned into a soft roll.
In all not a good experience and it costed us 500bucks.
Dim Sum - Chinese snacklets and more
Submitted by dimsum on Thu, 21/08/2008 - 12:11. Koramangala | Restaurant | Chinese | Affordable | Must VisitDim Sum - Koramangala.
The best momo's in town without a doubt. I have eaten food from this joint over a 100 times as it has been the best chinese I have found in Bangalore.
The pricing is affordable and the quality is uncompromised. There is a small eat in area but it is better to order home and enjoy the food with friends.
The menu compromises of Momo's, their speciality (in pork, chicken and veg, Fried or steamed) served with an awesome sauce which i have not tasted anywhere. Other snacks and starers are followed by
soups, speciality dishes and sizzlers. One of the fewplaces which serves awesome pork in a variety of dishes. Definitely worth shouting about.

Ta'am
Submitted by Meeravinay on Fri, 15/06/2007 - 17:35. Koramangala | Restaurant | Lebanese | AffordableThink Falafel, Hummus, Fresh Pita-unadulterated mid-east cuisine & Ta'am fits the bill perfectly...simple, neat seating arrangement to hold 15-20 people max.
The Menu revolves around combinations of falafel/salad/ hummus/pita and some delicious unusual combinations. Try add-ons like baba ganoj, sauteed mushrooms & fried cauliflower, aubergine.
Wind up the meal with refreshing Pomegranate juice, not that other beverages/ drinks were bad, but this one was absolutely heavenly:)
Dim Sums Anyone?
Submitted by Janavi on Fri, 08/06/2007 - 16:31. Koramangala | Restaurant | ChineseLocated on 80 Feet Road is the big and spacious Yo! China outlet. The place serves a variety of chinese fast food. They have the usual fare as well as combo meals. Their speciality is Dimsums or Momos. They offer a reasonable variety of them. Try the Chicken Dimsums. In case you prefer vegetarian food, the Sui Mai is a good choice.
All in all, a neat place.

Submitted by bvs on Tue, 17/04/2007 - 13:36. Koramangala | Quarter Bar | Mangalorean | AffordableThey call this a Family Restaurant. But looks like a typical Mangalorean Drinking joint.
I went there in the evening at about 6:30. The place was empty. Too early for a crowd to be in such a place, I guess.
Beer costs 70 KF Lager. A plate of Kane Fry costs 70. The fish was fresh, the beer chilled. Service was friendly.
Looks like a good place to have fish curry rice and beer in the after noon or a quick drink with friends in the evening.

Submitted by cnb on Mon, 16/04/2007 - 19:18. Bangalore | Koramangala | Snack Joint | South Indian | AffordableSmall joint with about 5 tables, where you stand and eat. They serve South Indian snacks like idlis, dosas, etc and some dishes like chappatis and paratha with gravy (no vegetables).
Good and afforable food. Best for a quick breakfast or lunch.
Avoid the north indian fare.

Submitted by cnb on Mon, 16/04/2007 - 02:38. Bangalore | Koramangala | Restaurant | AndhraLooked like quite a popular place with lots of people waiting for a table on a Sunday afternoon despite there being two large floors of seating (maybe a 200+ seater).
Service was a bit slow but efficient. They tend to bring out all the food at once so if you want them to bring dishes as they are ready, inform while ordering.
They call themselves Multicuisine but you're probably better off ordering Andhra meals or Biryani. That's what they're recommended for.
I had a "Jani Chicken" which as the description said came with a red spicy gravy in which the chilli overpowered everything else. Since I was in a "Let's kill my tastebuds senseless" mood it was quite good. Had with Rumali rotis which were HUGE.
Mutton Biryani (andhra style) followed which was good, a bit soggy though. I found it a bit bland but maybe that was because the chicken had eliminated any chance of discovering subtle flavours in Biryanis.
(Also note this is Andhra Biryani where you're expected to have the gravy the give on the side with the Biryani).
The seasonal fresh mango icecream was nice but the chocolate icecream is avoidable.

Submitted by cnb on Sat, 31/03/2007 - 17:34. Bangalore | Koramangala | Bar | Restaurant | Chinese | Indian | AffordableFormerly a dance bar. I don't like this place although I end up going there due to a friends preference for it.
In my opinion it's overpriced, has a shady ambiance, bad food and pathetic service.

Submitted by cnb on Sat, 31/03/2007 - 17:26. Bangalore | Koramangala | Bar | Restaurant | Chinese | Indian | AffordableGood clean ambiance. I have this preference for well lit bars with white decor and clean ambiance. Too old for the shady bars now I guess. This one suits me just fine.
40 bucks for a peg of Old Monk, 60 for Smirnoff. Service is prompt and efficient.
The food isn't anything to write about but some of the chinese stuff is edible enough to serve as good accompaniments with drinks.

Comfortable seats. Dark shady bar ambiance.
