Description: Every Friday one of us from my old team treats everybody to lunch at a decent place. This Friday outing thing was kinda invented by Ruta. It's fun: Fridayss tend to be relaxed, and moreover we don't have to put up with food at work. :-)
So the last Friday was Ruta's turn. We ventured out to Nakshatra, an Andhra restaurant. It's quite close to MG road (less than 2 kms for sure). I'd never seen that part of town, heh. The place is pretty decent: neat decor; they could do with a bit more lighting, though.
They have unlimited Andhra thali during lunch hours. 149 bucks. They had some mutton curry (which was fantastic), chicken achari, brinjal fry (I can't hate brinjal enough, but this was good), dal, the regular veg. salad, and biryani. They also have rotis and dosas; that you have to ask for, though: fresh, etc.
For desserts we had vanilla ice creams with Gajar ka halwa (sweet thingie made from carrots). Awesome.
Oh yeah, they have a bar attached too! :-)
We were awefully stuffed by the end.
