Description:

Walk in at 8 in the morning and you will see all the south indian bachelors (& families) tucking into piping hot idlis / dosas / upma / pongal etc. Probably the best mainstream south indian breakfast (if you take out some of the regional specialities like MTR that is more karnataka). This is the only place in Bangalore i can identify with the sambar that is served.. all the Sagars of the world pass out some real bad concoction as sambar.

Go home and walk in again at 12noon and people will be waiting for the restaurant to open for Lunch, which consists of unlimited chapatis, rice, sambar, rasam (fantastic!!!), 1 dry subzi, 2 kootu (wet subzi) and kurma. Round it up with some nice curd rice.

The meal costs you 45bucks and most of the south indian snack dishes are < 20Rs. Coffee can be sweet & light. So ask for strong with less sugar.. and you will get the perfect filter coffee.

BTW checkout the set dosa & vada curry served only on Sundays for breakfast. My personal favourite.
