Minar

| | | | | | |
Summary: Ancient Mughlai food joint
Description:

Everyone has one (or a few) standard joints they have gone to since childhood, and whose food they remember and cherish forever. For me, one such place is the inimitable Minar. Situated in L block, Connaught place, outer circle, it is a simple Mughlai, Punjabi food joint. One of the many restaurant/bar family dining options with stereotype seating for that area, and typical uncles serving you for years together. But it has a special place in my heart, and I've eaten here once a month since I came back to Delhi.

Do not miss the signature Dal Makhani and the Paneer dishes here, be it Tikka, Shahi, or Mutter. The Malai Kofta is different, and the non-veg dishes are typical and nice too. Expect to spend around 250-300 per person, more if alcohol, and be satiated. Chill out with a beer, and enjoy the shalgham ka achaar and lachhedar pyaaz. Enough said, I am off to CP.

Rodeo

Summary: A pub in Connaught Place.
Description:

It has a mexican ambiance and is a nice place to hang out in. I went there twice.

The music is good and the volume is just perfect enough for a conversation. The waiters are great.

The food (Mexican) is great. I had a Nachos Platter.

Photo of half finished platter below.

They have excellent cocktails which are very well priced at 150 rupees each. And Cocktail Pitchers which are for 200 rupees (serves 4).

Best thing. They have Happy Hours till 7:30PM. 50% discount on Beer and Cocktails.

Paisa Wasool!

Bercos

| | |
Summary: boasts of being the best chinese food outlet in delhi!
Description:

spatially small and relatively dark...might be difficult to locate if u plan to find it all by urself...but pretty easy otherwise, as any watchman in the outercircle can tell you where the all famous bercos is!

the ambience isnt very catchy because of its space limitation...

can be an expensive affair....

the american choupsey , manchurian should be tasted.....noodles are pretty decent too...

It also owns the Bercose melody house just above the outlet.

should look out for what saddi dilli boasts of!

editor's note: Berco's is actually a chain of restaurants. The other branches are in NOIDA(Berco's Garden, which has an outdoor seating, and nice interiors, but pretty crappy service) and at Kamala Nagar Market, DU, which has a smart, urban feel to it.
