Description: Let's start with the menu. It has a great variety in the starters section; but the maincourse section is commonplace. There are the usual Biryani's , Fried Rice, Naan's & Roti's. But the characteristic of The Hub is it's Andhra & Hyderabadi Menu's. The andhra menu has dishes like Ulava Chaaru chicken, Chicken chettinaad, Country Chicken curried or fried while the Hyderabadi menu has a wide choice in Biryani and and even better choise in kebabs! The Tangdi, sheekh, kalmi, murg malai kebab's are common and always taste good here. But the one I tried today wasn't all that good. I'm usual a fan of the Garlic Kebab, but today was not it's day it seems. For one, it was not cooked enough and secondly, it did not taste like garlic at all. Sigh. I'll rate it at 4-5/10. Coming back to Andhra food, there are dry items like Chicken dry roast(which I would not recommend for anyone other than a typical southie), spicy tandoor chicken and chilli prawns in the dry items. Sometimes, The Hub carries excellent ethnic andhra curries like Gongura Chicken(, Chintachiguru Chicken(Both these have the tangy taste of lemon rind or tamamrind) and even one dish called Bommidaila Pulusu, which is effectively curried fish. But not any fish mind you! These fish are about 6 inches in lenth each and they taste heavenly! Very spicy and very tangy. My latest visit to the Hub saw me order Apollo Fish and Garlic Kebabs for starters and Mixed Fried Rice with Ginger Chicken curry and Fresh lime Soda for the maincourse. Appollo Fish was beautiful. This dish is almost always excellent everywhere I go. It is basically fresh fish dipped in cornflour batter and fried till golden(yet soft to touch). It is then stir fried for a while with spice which is predominantly garlic and ginger. Served hot with some curry leaves. Lovely. I rate it a 10/10. Garlic Kebabs weren't all that good. 4-5/10 for reasons explained above. Mixed Fried Rice from the Hub has always been my favourite mainciurse item. Their American and Chinese chopsueys don't demand as much attention as this. The mixed fried rice from hub contains 4 meats: nuggets of chicken, shredded chicken, batter-dipped fried prawns, chunks of dark mutton. No fish, coz it disintegrates and spoils the smell of the item. All this is ofcourse fused with the eggs and vegetables in the fried rice. The combination is perfectly made here, at The Hub. Did I mention that the quantity is large? :-> A 9-10/10 beacuse I have eaten better rice dishes. :) Ginger Chicken is one of my favourite chinese curries.Simply put, it is dumplings of chicken in a thick ginger curry. Looks, smells and tastes great. The curry isn't strach, it is some thick stuff, but not starch. After tasting it for a while, I felt a slight sweetish after taste. Other than this, I felt it the perfect curry to order with a fried rice. An 8.5/10. I have also tried the Kadai Chicken and the Paneer Butter Masala here. They're not very spicy but are very good with a butter naan. The presentation is rather good too.
