Mini Mahal
Yet another quarter bar cum good Punjabi/seafood restaurant in the hardcore Koliwada area. Mini Mahal is next to Mini Punjab, opposite Hazara, near GTB Nagar railway and police stations. The best part about the place is that on a Friday night, the a/c section was nearly empty, there was a good TV playing random stuff, and the waiters were extremely attentive, foresaw what you wanted, and served very well.
The Prawns Koliwada, staple dish of that area, was different from Hazara (which is the Prawns Koliwada I like) and quite good. Definitely better than what you get as Prawns Koliwada elsewhere. The Rawas Koliwada as usual was superb, so was the Seekh Kabab. They have this weird 'spicy' variation of Butter Chicken which was lip-smacking. The tandoori rotis were made with wheat, so plus 5 brownie points for that.
The rest of the place is a standard quarter bar and full most of the time. There is a dance bar on the first floor with it's usual clientele, hand-shaking waiters, and loiterers. Head directly to the a/c room and enjoy.
