Description:

This is a multicusine Indian restaurant, which offers a lavish buffet lunch at a reasonable price. The Veg & Non-Veg Indian buffet is priced at Rs.350/- plus taxes. The eatery is chiefly popular for its Kababs, their buffet has a varied range of Veg & Non-Veg kababs.

Ambience is good, as soon as you enter you have the bar on the right hand side and a corridor which leads to the buffet section. The restaurant is true to its name, it has a clock tower in the centre of the room, with a BEST hoarding on one side, a star plus ad on one corner and a riot of colors running thru the room.

The buffet usually offers an option of chicken or tomato soup, around 2-3 chicken kababs (murgh malai, chicken tikka), 1 or 2 mutton kababs (keema papad) and a fish kabab (fish ajwaini)...whew! quite an option!! in Veg, they have hara bara kabab, paneer tikka, corn kabab, mushroom tikkas etc. One mutton dish, one chicken & one fish main course, their mutton dish is something to be talked about, thick gravy, succulent pieces and the perfect spices. Veg main course is also quite good with Dal Tadka being their speciality, best had with plain jeera rice. Roti’s & Naans are served hot directly on the table.

Service is very prompt, each time you get up to start a new course, your plates and cutlery is changed immediately, ambience is good, apt for a lunch with business associates.

Though Mela has a good varied spread, the food gets monotonous after a few visits as they have the same stuff. The dessert section doesn’t change much too! They have jalebi, firni, fresh fruit platter, gulab jamuns and kheer, but what I would specially like to mention here is the Moong Dal Halwa, really heavenly and the same stands for their Rabadi, one would really. Mostly frequented by office goer’s in the vicinity.

They offer liquor/wine and mocktails and credit cards are accepted.
