Origami
This was my first time having Japanese food so I was looking forward to this.

We started with Sake and an assorted Seafood platter

After a couple more platters we had the famous eel dish. Unagi Sushi - (Grilled eel sushi) Throughout the meal we had Sumanth enlightening us about Japanese food

Lalit meanwhile unimpressed by the sushi was perplexed about when we are actually going to get any "real" food. He was finally overjoyed when for the main course Vikram ordered some Beef Steak. Infact so overjoyed he ordered one for himself:)

Sumanth had Zaru Soba Noodles with Shitake and Nori with an accompaniment of Seaweed. That seaweed rocks. If I'm in Atria I could drop in at Origami just for having seaweed :)

Merril, Madhuri and I had Rice with assored seafood while Nandita had Veg Rice. The rice was sweetish. I never thought I would like sweet rice but now I do :)
We finished off with some Icecream at Gelato. Nandita's suggested me to have a Whiskey Flavoured Icecream which was awesome! This being my first tryst with Japanese food it was a nice learning experience and thanks to Sumanth for the introduction. I liked some of the things on the seafood platter (but have no idea which). Especially the ones which left a sweet lingering after taste. The seaweed was super, the eel was nice, the rice was oddly delicious :)
The only con was the cost. This was by far the costliest Sigfood Mixer ever at 1750 a head while the ones we have had till now have been in the 300 to 500 area.
Oh. I forgot to mention the Sake. We had dry sake which went great with the sweet seafood! It's probably this sweet-dry combination which caused the super sensation in the mouth while eating the sushi.
I'm looking forward to experimenting more with Japanese food!
