Silk Route
Koregaon Park is known for its sprinkling of speciality restaurants. This one is not to be missed.
The interiors are very cozy and intimate. The service is excellent. They have a sort of lounge on the upper storey - but I have never eaten there.
The food is simply superb! I have tried Chinese and Thai here - and have never been disappointed. I find the experience and food quality better than Mainland China.
The place is a bit expensive - so go there on some occasion...

To tell the truth, I am put off by the long queues for Mainland China, and their portions too - which I think are at least 20-30% smaller than other places.
MLC has become more of an "executive" elite place. It doesn't allow you to get cozy...

I have dined only two times and really had not complained about the portions, may be because of the satisfactory taste?!

Slik route is simply the best! I have been like more than 5 times there, not dissapointed even once. I just like the taste there over MC.

i cant compare this with
i cant compare this with mainland china which i think 'rocks' anyway but i had some excellent dimsums at this place!
Also, the japanese wine(saki) was one hard shot :) (they are not exclusively chinese)
