Summary: Don't miss snacks here
Getting there: On Laxmi road after Shagun, before Vijay talkies
Don't Miss: Anything
Food Cost: <50
Description:

Janaseva Dugdh Mandir is probably the lord of snack joints in Pune. It is very old and has all the famous Puneri placards (don't sit for too long, don't loiter around, eat properly etc.). It is open in the morning and evenings only. I mean come on - they need their afternoon siestas.

The place serves excellent Maharashtrian snacks and sweets. The sabudana khichadi on fasting days (which are plenty) is cool. At other times just go there and have good well-made pure chivdas, laddoos, kharvas, piyush etc. The portions are small, the price is smaller. Don't worry about it. The place reflects a lot about the people comprising that locality of Pune. Go there and you will understand.
