Summary: Superlative Italian/Continental food
Getting there: Pali Hill junction Bandra-Khar West area
Food Cost: 200-400
Description:

Wonderful place.

OUTSTANDING FOOD. We are talking veg here.

The mushroom starter was scintillating. Probably one of the best funghi you will get to eat.

These guys know how to make magic with Pasta. The spaghetti was cooked to perfection. The white sauce was magical. I personally summoned the chef to shake hands with him.

Their pizza was incredible. The pizza chef from trattoria should take lessons from these guys.

The waiting staff are pleasant and go about doing their work with a smile.

They have an amazing range of continental desserts. Do try the veg brownie.

Didnt try their drinks. But I am told that their drinks offerings is a formidable list.

Lacking points:

We went on a weekday at 11 pm. There was zero crowd. That does not spell good for a place like this. Hope these guys dont shut down the place.

Do not go to Da Vinci wearing knee-length shorts (like I did) The mosquitoes feast on your calf muscles and ankles.

The Ambience is tooo dimly lit to the point of making you feel insecure.

Ratings:

Food - 10/10
Ambience - 5/10

Will visit this place again and again (provided they dont shut shop soon) and strongly recommend this place for conti veg food.

yeah. one and three fourths thumbs up

This place is good. haven't tried the veg much, but the non veg is excellent.

The prawn in mustard sauce is absolutely wonderful. The steaks are good too. The chicken, well tastes like chicken.

it has a few minuses though. The place becomes as noisy as hell. I dont know what they can do about it, but some noise absorbing foan would be a good idea.

The wait staff is really badly informed about the wines. so they dont know what is available, other than red white and rose. we had to walk to the bartender to understand if they had what we wanted.

And while the pizza is good, for those craving even thinner crust, go up the street beyond papa panchos' to a new joint (think mi cucina) where the old da vinci was. their crusts are even better. (however da vinci's is the better restaurant)

and they dont give you free bread, if you are one of those who likes to nibble on it while sipping wine.
